An Open Day to explain the Arts Award Opportunity for Teenagers. Learn new skills and gain a Nationally Recognised Qualification.

Starting from Monday 5 August 2013 Southwark Libraries will offer the opportunity for young people 13 to 17 years to do the Arts Award at Bronze Level.

The Arts Award links young people and the creative arts. It involves the creation and completion of a portfolio of work based on literature related tasks and events. Young people are not pressured to complete this qualification during the summer, they can carry out the Arts Award for as long as it takes to reach the Bronze Level standard. This great opportunity for young people is free and an ideal opportunity for them to gain a Nationally Recognised Qualification and to get involved in how library services are delivered.

The Arts Award Open Day

Places for this opportunity are limited, therefore to find out more and establish whether this training is what you would like to do, young people and parents are invited to attend the Arts Award Open Day at Canada Water Library.
